Making the Invisible Visible

Yes sir, yes sir, on the road sir
Give me five mins , Ready to code sir

All it took was, twenty nights slogs sir
rest of the life, will monitor the logs sir

Change as you wish, delivery dates sir
don't get another vendor, please slash the rates sir

Thanks to your pounds, I shop in the mall sir,
Anytime anywhere will join the call sir

Keeping you happy, is name of the game sir
Offshore “partners” are all same sir

Give me a certificate, as best doormat sir
I will frame it, in my two bedroom flat sir

I am the humble, offshore dog sir
Abuse my culture, in your blog sir

You are the holy one, who educates us nerds sir,
From you I learned , f letter words sir

At five pounds an hour, I am cheap sir,
will work on weekends, like meek sheep sir

You take a week off, you have a cold sir,
My broken spondylotic back can hold sir

Premiership scores, on my lips sir
when can I visit, fish and chips sir

Give me the visa and let me fly sir
in your country I will die sir

You can then dance, on my grave sir
Free up the soul of, offshore slave sir

Cheers Sarah madam, how are you Mark sir
Can I make just one speech , in the Hyde park sir ?

I came across human rights, in twilight sir
All of them were, very very white sir

During the past few weeks, our class looked at many current issues that's been occurring around the world, but we mainly focused on Malaysia. We looked at HIV and Aids, Buma Putra people, Street Kids, Undocumented people, etc, but we later chose one topic to focus on. The topic turned out to be Human Trafficking. Every year the Human Trafficking "industry" makes at least a billion dollars. A fact that shocked me was that anyone can be a victim of human trafficking. But those who are victims are usually ones who've been looking for a brighter future. Victims are trapped physiologically, more than physically.
This fact amazed me because it must take a lot of physiological power to be able to
trap someone and use them as slaves.

Human Trafficking isn't something that only affect the victims. It affects the victim's family and friends, their owners, the traffickers and governments all over the world. I feel like the human trafficking topic is an important issue because this issue isn't a permanent thing. If we all try, it is possible to get rid of slavery in 25 years. It's important because we can actually make a difference by being aware, and doing the right things.
Here, in the place I live in, Malaysia, there is a lot of the human trafficking business. Malaysia is a place where many people look as a destination because victims view Malaysia as a rich country in south east asia. If we all work together, we can work towards on preventing human trafficking in Malaysia.

Learning about what human trafficking increased my understanding and knowledge on modern slavery. It made me think about all the things we could do for this project, and got me really enthusiastic about this unit. It made me feel lucky and appreciate the things I had. It also made me understand how a group of people ( old or young) can make a huge difference in the human trafficking world.
